State Minister of Finance Henry Musasizi is set to seek a fourth term as Rubanda East MP, pledging to advance infrastructure, agriculture, health, and human capital development in line with the NRM manifesto.

 

State Minister of Finance Henry Musasizi is preparing for a fourth term as the Rubanda East Member of Parliament, building on a political career that began in 2011.

Serving as the NRM chairman for Rubanda District, Musasizi has completed three terms in Parliament, emphasizing accountability, oversight, and effective representation.

With four candidates contesting the seat, he says his record of service sets him apart.

“If re-elected, my focus will be on implementing the NRM manifesto, including peace and security, road infrastructure, irrigation water projects, and electricity development,” Musasizi said.

He emphasized wealth creation through continued support for the Parish Development Model (PDM), with funding set to increase to Shs150 million to strengthen local leadership and community programs.

Musasizi also highlighted the need to secure additional road equipment for districts nationwide, noting that existing machinery has been heavily utilized.

“In summary, we shall continue investing in human capital through health and education. Rubanda has recently acquired a community hospital, and if re-elected, I will work to strengthen its capacity,” he added.

The minister reaffirmed his commitment to working with the NRM government and President Museveni to achieve the party’s manifesto goals in the next parliamentary term.
